Cycling can be an excellent therapy for coping with or recovering from illness or injury. Over the years we’ve had a lot of experience helping customers who have a variety of physical limitations to get mobile again.
The design of the Windcheetah makes it readily adaptable, particularly for customers who are missing a limb. People who have suffered brain trauma such as a stroke can often experience problems with balance and a trike can be the perfect solution. Although the Windcheetah is primarily a machine built with ultimate performance in mind, it’s low weight and agile performance can be beneficial to riders having to cope with reduced muscle power.
We often get approached by people who led an active athletic lifestyle prior to becoming injured or developing a debilitating condition. One of the great attributes of a Windcheetah for customers in these circumstances is that the Windcheetah can enable them to become actively mobile again without suffering a loss in overall performance.
We don’t claim that the Windcheetah will be perfect for every mobility requirement, but we do know that in certain circumstances a Windcheetah can be an ideal solution. We take a very pragmatic approach to individual riders needs and will only adapt a Windcheetah if we feel it will provide a viable long term solution to a customers needs.
Please contact us if you want to discuss what can be done to adapt a Windcheetah to suit your riding requirements. If we don’t think we can help we will tell you straight away and we may be able to advise you on the best route to finding what you need.
