Additional notes

Bottom brackets are English thread.

Cranksets come in different lengths, we would recommend 170mm for the average rider, two or three rings depending on the nature of the riding, most often we recommend three rings.

Each Windcheetah takes 3 chains, use chains to match the groupset for optimal shifting performance.

Front Derailleur is of the banded bottom pull variety.

Rear Derailleur is to match the total chain capacity of the drive train, long cage for triple chain rings and standard or short for double chain ring options. The modern Shimano Shadow and Shadow+ will not fit due to the rearward support fouling the 'second' pivot placement. Road rear mech's are fine.

Cassette sprockets, if different from the recommended above, please make sure you have sufficient capacity rear Derailleur to be able to run Big/big and Small/small cassette - crank ring combinations without problems.

Cables are to be of good quality SIS or similar variety to aid shifting performance, all cables are of a 'standard cycle' length.

Micro adjusters are needed due to no fine adjustment at Derailleurs or the shifters, we recommend Shimano proprietary M-Part micro shifters BRT0305, two needed.

Tyres are sized 1 1/8" width, any larger could rub on mudguards/fenders if this option is fitted.

Please note we try to support customers as much as possible with information on the best performance of gears, but due to the nature of recumbents needing a wider range of gears we find that some combinations might not work. We have noted that Shimano Mountain Bike Group sets do not work with Road Group sets due to differing cable pulls in the shifters

Road shifters DO NOT WORK with MTB rear Derailleurs.

If in doubt please ask before purchasing, we will not be held responsible for deviation from the above lists.

Specifications may alter, depending on availability of parts. We always look to upgrade rather than compromise the performance, for further details if unsure.
